Answer to "How do I wash a project?"Hand washing in cold water is the best solution. Be sure to remove all batteries. Hang up and let air dry. Do not machine wash as you’ll instantly destroy your project. Do note that over time your thread will lose it’s conduciveness due to corrosion with the air. There isn’t anything you can do about that. The Crazy Circuits parts should hold up better over time, but since the pads are made of copper they will also tarnish. If you want to protect your contact points, where the thread meets the component, you can try applying a little bit of super glue or nail polish. This will help protect those points against the air and they will last longer.
Answer to "Which parts work with conductive thread?"Any of the Crazy Circuits components will work fine with conductive thread. Typically people end up using our Crazy Circuits Battery Holders, LEDs and Blink/ Fade Boards for their projects. These parts are pretty easy to use and to combine into a working electrical circuit. However, our Invention Boards and Robotics Boards also work just fine for sewing projects. Using these boards you can make interactive wearables or work in various sensors. We recommend using a Crazy Circuits Screw Terminal along with a 3AA or 3AAA battery pack for power when using our bigger parts, and if you’re planning on using more than 3 LEDs in your smaller projects a 2AA or 2AAA battery holder is probably a good idea as well.
