Introduction

Create a simple standing Christmas Tree with LEDs!

  1. Print off the template and use it to cut out the two tree pieces. It's highly recommended you use card stock or some strong paper for this.
    • Print off the template and use it to cut out the two tree pieces. It's highly recommended you use card stock or some strong paper for this.

    • Follow the diagram and add your conductive tape and LEDs. We used 5mm blinking LEDs, but you can use any type you'd like.

    • One side of your tree will be Positive and one side will be Negative, make sure your LED legs match up with those sides.

    • Put a small loop of tape on the bottom of your battery. Stick that to the Negative line of tape. Then fold over the tape from the other side of your tree and put it on the top (Positive) side of your battery.

    • We're using one CR2032 battery per side of the tree (left and right sides). It would also be quite easy to use a single 2AAA or 2AA battery pack to power the entire tree.

    • Slide the two sides of the tree together. Use some glue to keep the tree together if need be.
