Introduction

Bristlebots are great projects for kids of all ages. They're simple to create, fun to play with, and make great learning tools for STEM classes. With this guide we'll show you how to create your own bot in minutes. Be sure to check out our leveled lesson plans and directions.

  5. Place one pipe cleaner between the bristles on the bottom of the brush. Place the second pipe cleaner on top of the brush, making sure your motor wire can still move freely. Twist the two pipe cleaners together and bend down towards table to help stabilize your brush so it can stand up on the bristles without falling over.

  7. Press the free floating wire to the side of the battery to get it to stay in place.

    • You can also use a small piece of tape or sticker to keep the wire down.

    • Move second wire away (or peel away tape) to "turn off" the bot.
